Bank or Scam

SYDNEY – “Buckle up, folks! In a world where scammers are phone call actors with unlimited creativity, you need a good laugh and some expert guidance. Welcome to ‘Are You Being Phone Scammed or Is It Really Your Bank?’ Our scriptwriters may be satirical, but our advice is legit.”

1/ Simple one first. No scammer or Bank will introduce themselves by saying Hello Mr Steve or Hello Mrs Julie. This is more likely your local Nails or massage shop. Safe to take this call!
2/ You receive a call from a well speaking person that is warning you that you may have been scammed!.. you interrupt and ask if they can call back in 10 minutes. They call back in 9 minutes and 56 seconds. This is definitely a scammer… hang up straight away. No Bank we know calls you back!
3/ You receive a message to call a number relating to your account. You are put on hold and transferred to different areas which also put you on hold and eventually the line drops out! This is YOUR Bank…you should write them a letter for a possible response.
